The die has been cast. After having sieved through and validated the huge number of submissions for the Ubuntu App Showdown, we’re announcing the list of app candidates which will compete for the prizes.
Nearly 150 applications were submitted for the contest, of which 132 were qualified and made it to the final list the judges will be voting on. If your app did not qualify, you either were contacted by the Ubuntu App Review Board or will soon will, as their technical review is happening concurrently with the voting process.
Judges will now have a full week to review and rate each one of these applications, after which winners will be announced on the week of the 23rd July very soon.
Next, and once all contest apps have landed in the Software Centre, the start of the public voting period for the additional Community Prize will be announced, giving participants the opportunity to win even more prizes.
Show me the showdown contestants!
So alea iacta est! Good luck to all of you!
